END the World in 30 Minutes - https://youtu.be/RGAzd5mKqjk The United States Armed Forces[5] are the federal military forces of the United States. They consist of the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard.[6] The President of the United States is the military's overall head, and helps form military policy with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), a federal executive department, acting as the principal organ by which military policy is carried out. From the time of its inception, the military played a decisive role in the history of the United States. A sense of national unity and identity was forged as a result of victory in the First Barbary War and the Second Barbary War. Even so, the Founders were suspicious of a permanent military force. It played an important role in the American Civil War, where leading generals on both sides were picked from members of the United States military. Not until the outbreak of World War II did a large standing army become officially established. The National Security Act of 1947, adopted following World War II and during the Cold War's onset, created the modern U.S. military framework; the Act merged previously Cabinet-level Department of War and the Department of the Navy into the National Military Establishment (renamed the Department of Defense in 1949), headed by the Secretary of Defense; and created the Department of the Air Force and National Security Council. The U.S. military is the largest military in the world in terms of number of personnel. It draws its manpower from a large pool of paid volunteers; although conscription has been used in the past in various times of both war and peace, it has not been used since 1972. As of 2016, the United States spends about $580.3 billion annually to fund its military forces and Overseas Contingency Operations.[4] Put together, the United States constitutes roughly 39 percent of the world's military expenditures. For the period 2010–14, SIPRI found that the United States was the world's largest exporter of major arms, accounting for 31 per cent of global shares. The United States was also the world's eighth largest importer of major weapons for the same period.[7] The U.S. Armed Forces has significant capabilities in both defense and power projection due to its large budget, resulting in advanced and powerful equipment, and its widespread deployment of force around the world, including about 800 military bases in foreign locations

BEIJING — China has apparently finished expanding its manmade island outposts in the South China Sea and has moved on to building military infractures on some of the larger islands, according to the Pentagon's annual assessment of military and security development of China. The report states that China is currently focused on outfitting its three largest outposts — Fiery Cross, Subi and Mischief Reefs in the Spratly Islands — with military infrastructures, including airfields with runways measuring at least 8,800 feet, water and fuel storage, port facilities, 24 fighter-sized hangars, communications facilities and barracks and administration buildings. Once the facilities are complete, China can house up to three regiments of fighter jets in the Spratly Islands. According to Asia Maritime Transparency Initiative, the three air bases and another on Woody Island in the Paracels will give Chinese fighter jets the ability to operate over almost the entire South China Sea, as well as the radar surveillance coverage of almost the entire region from its facilities on the large and smaller outposts. Parts of the South China Sea is claimed by China, Brunei, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines and Vietnam. The Hague international tribunal rejected China’s claims of historical ownership in the in the South China Sea last July. China, in response, has firmly rejected the ruling. ------------------------------------------------------------- Go to https://www.patreon.com/tomonews and become a Patron now TomoNews is now on Patreon and we've got some cool perks for our hardcore fans. Reason Behind Carrier Strike Group USS Carl Vinson Patrol In The South China Sea Feb. 21, 2017 - Navy Adm. Harry Harris Jr., commander of U.S. Pacific Command, speaks at the WEST 2017 naval conference and exposition in San Diego. Commander said U.S faces many challenges – ranging from North Korea, China, Russia and ISIS. United States must continue to innovate and develop capabilities to allow Good to overcome Evil. Our country must maintain credible combat power to preserve unimpeded access to all the shared domains – Sea, Air, Land, Space and Cyber. United States needs technology like THAAD and F-35 Joint Strike Fighter to be operationalize in South-East Asia. We are challenged by Russia and increasingly assertive China. Neither of whom seem to respect the international agreements they have signed on for. Both Moscow and Beijing has choice to make, they can choose to disregard the rules base, security orders that have served all the nations including them so well for decades, or they can contribute to it as responsible stake holders. No one want conflict, we prefer cooperation, but we have been loud and clear that we will not allow shared domains to be closed down unilaterally. We cooperate where we can, but we will be ready to confront where we must. United States will remain a powerful leader in the Indo-Asia-Pacific, as demonstrated by aircraft carrier strike group USS Carl Vinson patrol in the South China Sea. Time to act is now, freedom, justice, rules base international order hang in the balance. Nowhere is urgently needed than in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region. The region is linked to America future prosperity and security. Ensuring stability in this region is a team sport. But the path is burden with tough challenges.

Breaking News - U.S. Deployed World Most Advanced Submarines To South China Sea United States deployed several fast attack submarines to the Asia Pacific region. In the past month, U.S. sent three advanced, stealth and fast attack submarines, including Los Angeles-class nuclear powered USS Alexandria (SSN-757), USS Chicago (SSN-721) and USS Louisville (SSN-724). Internal military reported that at least one has entered the South China Sea water. These boomers are deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations in support of security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific. The submariners will participate in a series of community service projects and sporting events during its deployment to Subic Bay in the Philippines. On February 19, 2017, Los Angeles-class attack submarine USS Alexandria (SSN 757) arrived at Fleet Activities Sasebo for a visit as part of its Indo-Asia-Pacific deployment. The visit strengthens the already positive alliance between the U.S. and Japan through the crews' interaction with the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force. It also demonstrates the U.S. Navy's commitment to regional stability and maritime security in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations. Alexandria is an improved Los Angeles-class submarine with some of the most advanced submarine systems in the world. Its speed, stealth, mobility and sheer firepower make it one of the most powerful weapons in the U.S. national defense arsenal. The submarine is capable of executing anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface ship warfare, strike, naval special warfare, irregular warfare, and mine warfare. Measuring more than 362 feet long and weighing more than 6,500 tons when submerged. Alexandria is one of the stealthiest submarines in the world. It carry about 25 torpedo tube-launched weapons, as well as Mark 67 and Mark 60 CAPTOR mines and were designed to launch Tomahawk cruise missiles, and Harpoon missiles horizontally. It also has 12 dedicated vertical launching system tubes for launching Tomahawks from the deep sea. The trump’s administration takes a tougher stance toward China militarization in the South China Sea. U.S. is responding with several show of force that includes carrier strike group, destroyers, fighter jets and submarines, as well as the test launch of nuclear-capable missiles to the region.
